RAPIDES ISLAND WATER ASSOCIATION HAS NO LEAD SERVICE LINES

This determination was made after developing an inventory of all service lines, regardless of ownership, as required by the EPA Lead & Copper Rule Revision. 

Methods used to develop the inventory:

  1. Previous Lead & Copper sampling records from 1992 to 2024, including customer self-identification. 
  2. Original system construction records from 1973.
  3. Records of capital improvement projects, line extensions, line relocations, and line replacements from 1978 until 2024.
  4. Distribution system records of taps, meter installations, meter replacements, meter reading, reconnects, disconnects, and construction records related to distribution system repairs & upgrades from 1973 to 2024.
